HIV/AIDS Nepal

HIV/AIDS

Millions of people in Nepal have been indirectly affected by the HIV/AIDS epidemic. Women who have had children often have to contend with issues such as mother-to-child transmission of virus. The responsibility of caring for AIDS patients and orphans is also an issue that has to be contended with. Millions of adult children have been indirectly affected by HIV/AIDS through the use of infected drug syringes. HIV/AIDS and drug abuse is a rapidly growing problem in Nepal. Lack of education means school children are not aware that HIV/AIDS can be transmitted through infected syringes, and fail to be taught concepts about HIV prevention and discrimination against people with AIDS.
Many children with HIV are forced to leave their schools and infected women are often abandoned by their husbands. Because of this common stigma, many people avoid being tested and hide their symptoms of AIDS for as long as possible. According to a U.N. study, more than 80% of Nepalese with HIV have not been diagnosed. There are a number of things that can be done in order to reduce the burden of the epidemic among women and adults.
These include promoting and protecting women's human rights, and fostering awareness among women. Adults that are susceptible to drug abuse played a significant role in the widespread transmission of the disease. As a result, HFM use a tackling of the foundations and roots approach, in order to try and prevent stigma and educate the Nepalese on HIV awareness.
HFN hope to reduce the spread of HIV through voluntary educational and medical interventions. Church Planting mission

Church Planting mission Nepal

Christianity is still a new religion in Nepal. Until January 15, 2007 Nepal’s constitution stated that the country was a Hindu Kingdom. Under the Interim Constitution proposed thereafter Nepal has now converted its status to a secular state, which is a big step forward towards religious freedom and tolerance, although there is still a lot of persecution towards minority religious groups, such as Christianity. These people face problems of harassment and social discrimination from society at large.
You can get involved in our church planning program in Nepal; the goal of this program is to spread the love of Jesus to local communities through evangelism and community support oriented activities. Individual volunteers as well as larger groups can set up volunteer experience programs with these local churches and their missionary outreach programs, using each volunteer’s individual experience and passion to contribute to the ever expanding Christian community in Nepal.
Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Matthew 28:19-20.

Evangelism Ministry

Evangelism Ministry in Nepal

Himalayan Foundation Nepal organize Christian Ministry program with love of our Lord and Jesus Christ  throw from Evangelism,  Nepal is a land of rich beauty with the high Himalayas to the north, mountains in the middle and the field of plains to the south. Nepal is home to 30 million people worshiping 33 hundred million gods. Hinduism still is the dominant religion and Buddhism follows as the second, Islam reigns central south of Nepal and Christianity comprises hardly a million people. Probably 90 percent of people have not even heard the gospel. 80 percent of Christian churches in Nepal are linked with foreign organizations. There are many types of evangelical programs being held in the cities and towns, but these missionaries and evangelists rarely steps into the villages.
Need of Evangelism in Nepal
Awareness and information about the gospel is being introduced into the hearts of the leaders but their strategy is limited. Honestly speaking, Nepal has not been adequately exposed to the gospel. People are still waiting to hear the hopeful message of Jesus Christ. People have developed a factional mentality, 'I am the member of this religion or faction', and very seldom seek peace outside of their family tradition or community. Gospel must be preached by Nepalese people for Nepalese people. Church members must become disciple-makers, fishers of men, and not just complacent members of the Church. Nepal has the potential for evangelical outreach, so many people have not even heard about Jesus yet. People are receptive and in need of the gospel and we must not pass up this opportunity.
Become a partner
For years, we have been looking for opportunities to share the gospel with Nepal. We need to be vigilant and watch for places where these opportunities arise. Please join with us today as a gospel partner to spread the love of Jesus Christ in Nepal through outreach programs, film showings, house-to-house visits, and disciple-making programs. We can accomplish more standing together then we can alone. Partnership was the mindset of Apostle Paul, the mindset of working together to fulfill what God wants to do in the lives of people through us. Write to us today. Let us put our creed aside, let us go out and save people. Please go to visit  Mission in Church Nepal
