If you can please kindly donate to the Himalayan Foundation Organization Nepal.

Here in the Himalayan Foundation Nepal, our priority is to fulfill an important mission, a goal that includes providing a platform and a standard of life where orphans can fulfill their potential in life. We are always looking at building an atmosphere for our children to keep that smile on their face, and to maintain a positive outlook on life. Providing the necessary food, shelter, clothing and shelter has always been our fundamental principles within our children orphanage and community poor child in
Kathmandhu, Nepal. However to maintain these we urgently seek regular help from volunteers and sponsors alike. We also seek to help children who are unable to receive the basic support to their children, i.e. sending them to school. Our goal is to help children of all categories, cultures and ethnics; such is our love for all children.
Himalayan Foundation Nepal are always openly welcoming people of all nationalities, including international organizations. Our long term goal is to make sure our orphanage children can integrate and be given every chance in life to fulfill their duty as human beings. We strongly believe with the correct upbringing through education, our children prevail academically, personally and spiritually.
Our volunteer orphanage in Nepal provide our guests with an experience that is to be behold, an enriching experience for both the children and yourself as you will see firsthand how a life of an orphan child entails on a daily basis. Your help, however small or large, will make a significant change for the children of the orphanage in restoring hope for their futures.

Prayer and sponsor child

Please Prayer for and Sponsor poor community child in Nepal.
Himalayan Foundation Nepal work to help development committees in Nepal so that we plating to sponsor  poor committees kid in Nepal,   Nepal is one of the world’s poorest countries with the 21st highest poverty rate. Half the population is jobless and many live on $1 US or less per day. This makes it very hard for the families to send their children to school, making it very difficult for the children to get education and achieve a better future. Education is paramount in helping the children in obtaining a better life.
HFN is attempting to improve these children’s lives and future by running a sponsorship program for children from low income families. Sponsorship through HFN provides children with the invaluable opportunity to get educated and realize their full potential.

Sponsorship Options:

Summer Volunteer Program in Nepal

Summer Volunteer Program in Nepal

Himalayan Foundation Nepal (HFN) has organized a summer volunteer travel program during summer 2013 which involves an exciting cultural journey in the heart of Nepal in the capital of Kathmandu. The journey will start in Kathmandu with an orientation, followed by volunteering work with an orphanage child, then volunteers move on to teaching English to children with mental and physical disabilities for 2 weeks. Volunteers work in orphanage placements where they spend time with disadvantaged children. You would work 5 days a week volunteering at an orphanage to help the children in need.
The Summer Program also includes a weekend tour to some of the most popular tourist attractions in and around Kathmandu. The Tour includes visits to Patan , Bhaktapur, and Nagarkot around Kathmandu valley, as well as other forms of site seeing.
The mission is highly recommended for volunteers looking to make a difference in Nepal as well as exploring the special sights that the country has to offer. Friends and family are welcome to join this program together.

Orphanage Child Home

The main orphanage in Kathmandu, Nepal is home to 15 children from 4 - 16 years of age. There are 6 other orphanages across Nepal in partnership with HFN where other opportunities are available for volunteer placement. HFN provides each child with a loving home and a hope for the future by offering these orphaned children with care, shelter, and education.
Nepal is home to more orphans than most countries as a result of a very high poverty rate and unemployment rate. Another huge influence was the very recent Nepali Civil War (1996-2006) in which it is estimated 15,000 people were killed and 150,000 were internally displaced, leaving government social programs in tatters. Education is a difficult task for most families, half the population lives on 1$ US per day, and because of this many children begin life in the workforce at a very young age, often in very undesirable working conditions. The government is unable to provide any type of welfare plan for disadvantaged families and child abandonment is a very common occurrence in poor communities where the parents can barely provide for themselves. Other factors effecting Nepal's high number of orphans include domestic violence and social discrimination. HFN partners with a number of other orphanages, expanding their social support network for these abandoned children, and helping as many as possible.
Volunteers have the opportunity to use their time to take the children on excursions, such as going to a museum or the swimming pool. The orphanage can also arrange the activities for them. Sponsorship Support, Programs and Volunteering all help the needy orphanage children living in the home in Nepal. Children who have lost their
parents, children who have been abused by their parents, and children whose parents can't provide for their living are in need of emotional and financial support. These orphanage children need love, attention, life skills and education so that they can have successful futures free from poverty and filled with the same joy and opportunities as others. Below is a schedule of our daily activities at the main orphanage in Kathmandu, Nepal.

Volunteer work in Orphan Child Nepal

Volunteer work in Orphan Child Nepal

The Himalayan Foundation Nepal is focused on providing shelter, food, and education for orphans in Nepal, a third world country that is currently in political decline and lacks many essential sources, such as proper healthcare, social support organizations and emergency shelter. By providing these orphanage children with a safe and enriched environment the HFN hopes to make a change to the childrens lives and point them in the right direction in hope to create a successful future for themselves and Nepal. We hope to give happiness and fulfillment to those who would otherwise be forced to live in very difficult circumstances.
While volunteering in the program at HFN, there are many areas where volunteers can contribute using their education and skills to provide a life-changing experience for our orphanage children. Short term volunteers will usually work with The Living Orphanage in Kathmandu, and those who volunteer for longer periods have the opportunity to visit, live and work in HFN's affiliated orphanages across Nepal.
Your volunteer work will be to help these children build life skills by assisting with homework, teaching English and Health education, helping with arts and crafts, and taking part in daily activities. Your particular skill set will determine how you will spend your time at the orphanage, as each volunteer is unique. By becoming involved in the lives of these orphans, you will be taking on a mentor role, similar to that of an older brother or sister, and show them compassion in a way that will have a huge impact on their lives.

This is a great opportunity for anyone seeking a special experience that differs from the tourist activities of the Kathmandu Valley. The children are in need of attention, love and affection. We hope their charming personalities and quirks will affect your life as much as your help will affect theirs.

Role of Volunteer

Depending on your interests and experience, you can get involved in any of the following areas:
  1. Teaching English (3-4 hour a day), helping the children with their homework and monitoring their academic progress.
  2. Assisting the children with their daily routine before and after school (i.e. brushing teeth, getting dressed).
  3. Accompanying the children to school and picking them up.
  4. Organizing games, arts and crafts and singing and dancing activities and any other creative educational extracurricular activities.
  5. Taking kids on educational tours around Kathmandu.
  6. Assistance in cooking, distribution, and in the kitchen and garden.
  7. Help with administration.
  8. Volunteers are encouraged to use their area of expertise to contribute to enhancing the quality of life for the orphans.

Church Mission Program

Church Mission Program in Nepal

Himalayan Foundation Nepal organizes church missions program for international volunteers to help support and increase awareness of the Nepalese Christian community. There are currently many churches in Nepal which HFN works in partnership with, places such as Sindhu, Palso, Makawonpur and Chitwan are all potential locations for missions operations.
Christianity is still a new religion in Nepal. Until January 15, 2007, Nepals constitution stated that the country was a Hindu Kingdom. Under the Interim Constitution proposed thereafter Nepal has now converted its status to a secular state, which is a big step forward towards religious freedom and tolerance, although there is still much persecution towards minority religious groups, such as Christianity, which face problems of harassment and social discrimination from society at large.
You can get involved in our church planning mission program in Nepal, the goal of this program is to spread the love of Jesus to local communities through evangelism and community support oriented activities. Individual volunteers as well as larger groups can set up volunteer experience programs with these local churches and their missionary outreach programs, using each volunteer's individual experience and passion to contribute to the ever expanding Christian community in Nepal.
Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Matthew 28:19-20

Additional Requirement:
You will need to submit a resume showing your preparation and purpose for church mission work in Nepal. Please contact us for further details.

Christian Church Ministries in Nepal.

Christian Church Ministries in Nepal.

Himalayan Foundation Nepal organizes Christian Church ministry in Nepal, Nepal's major religion is Hinduism and therefore the Christian community is in the beginning of its development: Now running the second generation of Christians in Nepal. This gives an exciting, challenging, and unique possibility to improve the knowledge of Christianity in Nepal. In the last few years’ freedom to practice religion, especially Christianity has grown massively. People are less segregated and more integrated with each other and respect one another’s
religion. The people of Nepal despite you or their faith treat each other with love and kindness, but can some time experience some discrimination from other religious groups. Many Christians in Nepal have embarked on Christian development as it is taught in the Bible to teach others the right way to life. This said, as mentioned there is no enforcement of religion but many people feel strongly of their faith and are so passionate to share this with others. Many Christians in Nepal and around the world consider themselves as Gods servant to do his will on earth as it says in Matthew chapter 10, verse 24 ‘the servant is not above his lord’. Christians love everybody and want everybody to be saved on judgment day. This is the means for why they take part in their ministries, out of love.
This program works together with churches in Kathmandu, Pokhara, Chitwan, Hadtuwda and Sidhupachuwk, etc. These churches offer helping with the development of themselves through teaching children at Sunday School, woman fellowship teaching, and practical chores to uphold the churches. Helping the early development of the Christian community with creative ideas for, among other things, fundraising, and helping maintain/improve the church through everyday chores is always more than welcome no matter which program you choose.
